Real life in the writing. Hard-earned growth in the sound. No plans to stop.

The story keeps moving
TommyG Carouthers Jr. has loved music since childhood, long before he ever imagined becoming an artist himself. Eminem, Lil Jon, Usher, Nelly, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, T-Pain, Akon, and many others provided the soundtrack to his early years. As his taste continued developing, artists including Rich Homie Quan, Mo3, and BloccRich Monsta became some of his favorite voices of the newer generation.
His music is grounded in real-life situations—both memories from his past and experiences still unfolding today. TommyG uses his records to document the different stages of his life, carrying stories that reach back to when he was a lil jit and continue through the person he is now.
His journey as an artist began unexpectedly in 2022, during a low point when he was dealing with difficult circumstances and needed an outlet for everything sitting on his chest and running through his mind. One day, his friend Lil Zay convinced him to freestyle and secretly recorded it. When Lil Zay surprised him with the recording, TommyG heard himself rap for the first time and realized he honestly did not sound too bad.
That moment led to more freestyling, although it initially remained something he did for fun—putting rhyming words together without much meaning behind them. His outlook changed after connecting with a producer who recognized his potential and encouraged him to take the music seriously. What began as an unexpected recording became a genuine creative direction.
Since then, TommyG has steadily strengthened his flows, sharpened his wordplay, and improved the quality of his music tremendously within a relatively short period. Collaborating with talented artists around the world has also allowed him to keep learning, developing, and discovering new possibilities within his sound.
The artist who never believed he would make music is now fully invested in seeing how far it can take him. What started as an outlet during one of the hardest periods of his life has grown into a way of telling his story—and TommyG Carouthers Jr. does not plan on stopping anytime soon.
